一、教学内容

二、教学目标

知识目标

1. 能够在“关心和帮助他人”的语境中熟练运用表示感受和感觉的词汇thirsty, hungry, ill, sad, tired, happy, cold,并适当拓展单词:bored, worried, excited, sleepy, scared。

2. 能够在“关心和帮助他人”的语境中熟练运用本单元的核心句型What’s the matter?及其回答 I’m...    Are you …?及其回答Yes, I  am./No, I’m not

能力目标:

1. 基于向他人提供帮助的情境,在游戏、讨论和阅读等形式中灵活运用感觉感受类单词。

2. 围绕人物、感觉和帮助三个核心内容,在“卖火柴的小女孩”这一语境中询问表达感觉和寻求提供帮助,实现该话题在不同情境中的迁移。

情感目标:

1. 培养学生使用合理的方式关心帮助他人的能力;

2. 培养学生乐于助人、乐观向上的优秀品质。

三、教学重难点

1. 表示感受或感觉的词汇

2. 表达感觉和寻求提供帮助。

四、教学过程

Step 1  Warm up and lead-in

1. Watch a song and say the feelings

Step 2  Revision

1. Know more about feelings:bored, worried, excited, sleepy, scared

2. Play a game to review the feelings: Whack -A- Mole

3. Talk about feelings

4. Liu Tao’s happy family

a. Retell Liu Tao’s story

b. What’s do you think of Liu Tao’s family

Step 3 The little match girl’s story

1. Read and circle: What’s the matter with the little match girl?

2. Read and complete her story.

3. Summarize: How to show your care?        

4. Read and tick: Show your care for the little match girl

5. Summarize: : How to offer help?

6. Help the little match girl

   She’s very cold.

She’s hungry.

         She’s tired.

Step 4  Consolidation

1. We must care for each other and help each other. Happiness lies in caring for others and giving help to others.

2.  Let’s think:

a. When we do not feel good, what can we do to be happy?

b. When we do not feel good, We can help ourselves.

  If you are so angry/scared, what can you do?
